For the second time today, the Sokal City Council has received heavy and sad news from the frontline
Another Hero from Sokal district – Viktor SHVETS, born on 15.02.1987, a resident of the village of Huta (Shmytkiv) – joined the ranks of the Heavenly Army.
Viktor was born in the village of Vaniv, Chervonohrad district. Later, the family moved to Chervonohrad. In civilian life, Viktor Shvets worked as an electric train driver at the Stepova mine.
In the first days of the full-scale invasion, he volunteered to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He served as a sniper of an infantry battalion in the military unit 3002. The Hero died on 21 November 2024 as a result of enemy assault in the Pokrovskyi district of Donetsk region.
We express our sincere condolences on the death of Viktor Shvets to his mother, Hanna Mykolaivna, his wife Nadiia, son Marian, daughter Diana, sister Olena and the entire family.
