“A resident of the village of Romanivka, Lopatyn territorial community, soldier Yakymchuk Mykhailo Petrovych, born in 1998, a sniper of the mechanised division of the mechanised platoon of the mechanised company of the mechanised battalion of the military unit A4007, who died on 29 June 2024 as a result of enemy mortar shelling near the village of Ocheretyne, Pokrovsk district, Donetsk region, is returning home on a shield.
The meeting of the Hero will take place on 2 July at 10.00 am in Radekhiv. The funeral cortege will move to Mykhailo’s native village of Romanivka, where the funeral will take place.
On 2 July, mourning is declared on the territory of the Lopatyn community. During these days of mourning, the heads of institutions, enterprises and organisations of the territorial community are asked to lower the national flags on their buildings.
