“Rex” is actively helping the soldiers of the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine against Russian aggression.
During the combat work of the mortar unit, the dog delivers ammunition to the paratroopers, which is attached to the unloading system, which has repeatedly helped our soldiers.
“Rex” hit our mortar battery even before the release of Izyum, jumping into the back of the car on the move. No matter how trite it sounds, he felt that we were liberating the occupied territories. Since then, he and I have been inseparable,” says his friend and host Ivan.
During the months of active hostilities, “Rex” visited many hot spots, almost everywhere where the Lviv paratroopers fought. And one day, he received a shrapnel wound on his paw, the dog was treated and put into action.
“The four-legged friend does not miss a single combat trip, and is constantly present at the firing positions of the mortar unit. It distinguishes well between departures and arrivals, reacts to possible enemy fire. During this time, he became a living talisman of the mortar unit,” – shared the public relations service of the Command of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
