The Death of Policeman Mykhailo Shtynda on the Frontline

On the frontline, a police officer from Lviv, Mykhailo Shtynda, who defended Ukraine from Russian aggression, has died.

Mykhailo served as an inspector in the support unit of the special police battalion KORD (“Corps of Operational Sudden Action”) of the Lviv police. The officer was originally from Drohobych. He began his service in the National Police in 2016, and more than a year ago he joined the special police battalion KORD (“Corps of Operational Sudden Action”) of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.

Mykhailo bravely performed combat tasks in one of the most dangerous directions in the Donetsk region and remained faithful to the oath until his last breath. The life of Senior Sergeant of Police Mykhailo Shtynda tragically ended on September 18, 2025, in the village of Ivanopillia, Donetsk region. While performing a combat mission, he was hit by an FPV drone with explosives. Now the defender is forever 38…

An 11-year-old daughter was left without a father, a wife without a husband, and a mother without a son. Fellow officers will always remember Mykhailo as a brave and reliable comrade who was an example of honor and a devoted son of Ukraine. “The personnel of the National Police express their sincere condolences to the family and friends of the colleague.”

Forever in formation. Eternal memory and glory to the Hero! 🕯
