Vasyl Heremesh, a 34-year-old resident of Drohobych, who defended Ukraine from the enemy at the cost of his own life, has joined the ranks of the Heavenly Battalion.
Vasyl was born on 31 December 1989 in Drohobych, where he lived and studied. He graduated from school No. 1, then from vocational school No. 19, served in the A1108 military unit, worked in the banking sector, and then spent a long time abroad.
Last year, the resident of Drohobych returned from abroad, and this year, in June, he was mobilised and joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Vasyl was trained as a scout and performed combat missions to defend Ukraine. Since September, he was on the Kursk direction of the frontline.
Drohobychan died during a combat mission in the Kursk region on 9 October 2024. The warrior will forever be 34.
The deceased Hero is survived by his mother, sister, wife, two children and grandmother.
