During the weekend, servicemen of the Lviv border detachment stopped three attempts to illegally violate the state border outside checkpoints. The detainees turned out to be men who did not have legal grounds for crossing the state border.
Yesterday evening, the border squad of the “Smilnytsia” department received information from a local resident about the appearance of unknown persons in the settlement of the border. For the purpose of verification, additional teams have been appointed from the unit. During the search, border guards found and detained three residents of Ivano-Frankivsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, aged 20 and 34.
Another violator was detained by border guards of the same department at a distance of about 1,500 meters from the border. He turned out to be a 28-year-old resident of Lutsk.
The district inspector of the “Krakivets” department received information about a possible violation of the state border from a border resident. During the search, the response team detained two residents of the capital, aged 21 and 18, who intended to illegally cross the state border outside the checkpoints.
All detainees were taken to border units for inspection and prosecution under Art. 204-1 of the Criminal Procedure Code “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine.” The further fate of the detainees will be decided by the court.
