
An indictment has been submitted to the court against two men aged 19 and 37 from Zolochiv district, who are accused of severely beating a 36-year-old man during a conflict. If found guilty, they face up to ten years in prison.
The incident occurred on August 7 around 8:00 p.m. in a village in Lviv district. Near a local store, a sudden altercation broke out between the men, during which the two suspects brutally assaulted the local resident and then fled the scene.
Criminal investigators, detectives, patrol police officers, and other units of Police Department No. 1 of Lviv District Police, under the procedural supervision of the Zhovkva District Prosecutor’s Office, identified and detained the attackers.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted under Part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional grievous bodily harm committed by a group of persons in prior agreement). The case has now been referred to the court for trial.
The article’s sanction provides for imprisonment from 7 to 10 years.
