In Lviv district, three service personnel were honoured with state and departmental awards for personal bravery, devoted service and conscientious fulfilment of their military duty.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine, two soldiers of the 82nd Separate Air Assault Bukovyna Brigade were awarded the “For Courage” Order, 3rd Class.
Among those honoured is Vadym Medvedchuk, a private of the 82nd Separate Air Assault Bukovyna Brigade. He is originally from Lutsk and now lives in the village of Koropuzh in the Velykyi Liubin community. The soldier sustained a severe wound during the defence of Vovchansk.
The Order was also awarded to Taras Vatylyk, a private of the same brigade. He was born in Yampil of the Murovane community and now resides in the village of Remeniv in the Zhovtantsi community. The fighter was wounded in battle and has undergone prosthetic treatment.
The medal of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine “For Strengthening Defence Capability” was awarded to Mykhailo Styk, a major and resident of Davydiv. He is an ATO participant and, from the first days of the full-scale invasion, returned to the ranks of the army. The service member performed the duties of commander of the 3rd Mechanised Battalion of the 54th Separate Mechanised Brigade and actively coordinated the provision of necessary assistance to his comrades-in-arms.
