Sokalshchyna is in mourning. The Heavenly Legion has been joined by Defender of Ukraine Rostyslav Stepanovych Senchuk, born on June 28, 1988, a resident of the village of Steniatyn.
Rostyslav studied at the Steniatyn school from 1994 to 2003. In 2007, he graduated from the Horokhiv Agricultural College. That same year, he completed compulsory military service in Kyiv, in the Podil district.
From 2009 to 2012, he worked in the Sokal correctional colony in a responsible position. Later, he spent a long time working abroad.
Rostyslav Senchuk was called up for military service on August 29, 2022. He served in the 46th Brigade of the Air Assault Forces, military unit 4350.
During his service, the Defender carried out combat missions in the Kherson and Donetsk directions. His comrades and military command noted his courage, responsibility, and bravery.

For a long time, Rostyslav Senchuk was considered missing. His parents kept hope in their hearts that their son would return home. Sadly, DNA examination confirmed that the soldier died on December 15, 2022, during a battle near Kurdiumivka in Donetsk region.
His parents, Oksana and Stepan, his sister Svitlana, his nephews Maksym and Evelina, and the entire extended family remain in deep sorrow over the loss of the Hero.
The mourning cortege with the body of Hero Rostyslav Senchuk will arrive tomorrow at 15:00 near the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul. After that, the cortege will proceed to the village of Steniatyn, to the Defender’s family home, where a memorial service will be held.
The funeral of the Hero will begin on Saturday, June 13, at 13:00.
