In Yavoriv district they are calling in November for special remembrance in prayer of the servicemen who gave their lives for Ukraine, as well as those defenders who would have been celebrating their birthdays this month, but were killed in the war.
Among them is Oleh Voznyi, a resident of the village of Starychi, a graduate of the Land Forces Academy, a soldier of the 54th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after Hetman Mazepa. On 12 November he would have turned 29. The lieutenant’s life was cut short on 31 March 2022 while defending Popasna.
A resident of Novoyavorivsk, defender of Ukraine Mykhailo Dudych would have been marking his 48th birthday on 12 November. He was killed on 30 April 2026 in Luhansk region.
Native of the village of Rohizno Stepan Misiuk, defender of Ukraine, would have been celebrating his 58th birthday on 13 November. He was killed on 7 May 2023.
A resident of Novoyavorivsk, a soldier of the 3rd Mechanised Battalion of the Separate Presidential Brigade named after Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Mykhailo Sharan would have turned 37 on 13 November. The warrior was killed on 7 June 2025.
Another resident of Novoyavorivsk, defender of Ukraine Ivan Palko, would have been marking his 41st birthday on 16 November. His life was tragically cut short on 12 June 2023 in Rivne region.
Native of the village of Volia-Dobrostan, soldier of the 67th Separate Mechanised Brigade Mykhailo Rak would have been celebrating his 42nd birthday on 17 November. He was killed on 2 September 2024 while carrying out a combat mission in Luhansk region.
A resident of the village of Starychi, defender of Ukraine Mykhailo Zalutskyi would have been marking his 48th birthday on 21 November. He was killed on 5 March 2024 while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region.
A resident of Novoyavorivsk, defender of Ukraine Mykhailo Brezitskyi would have been celebrating his 47th birthday on 21 November. He was killed on 23 January 2018.
A resident of the village of Ternovytsia, soldier of the 24th Division Hryhorii Zakhidnyi would have been marking his 45th birthday on 25 November. The defender was killed on 18 July 2023 in fierce fighting in Zaporizhzhia region.
A resident of Novoyavorivsk, soldier of the 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skelia” Vasyl Mazorchuk would have been celebrating his 39th birthday on 28 November. He died on 22 July 2026 as a result of severe wounds sustained the previous day while defending Ukraine.
In Yavoriv district they also remember the soldiers who were killed in November between 2014 and 2026. Among them is a resident of Novoyavorivsk, soldier of the Yavoriv district Territorial Defence Dmytro Masiuk, who was killed on 3 November 2022 in fighting for the Motherland in Kharkiv region.
A resident of Novoyavorivsk, defender of Ukraine Andrii Sorokovyi was killed on 3 November 2025 while carrying out a combat mission in Kharkiv region.
Native of the village of Muzhylovychi, defender of Ukraine Vasyl Bubis was killed on 11 November 2024.
Native of the settlement of Shklo, defender of Ukraine Dmytro Zakharko was killed on 15 November 2024 while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region.
A resident of the settlement of Shklo, defender of Ukraine Ihor Vuitsik was killed on 16 November 2024 in fierce fighting in the Pokrovsk sector of Donetsk region.
A resident of Novoyavorivsk, soldier of the 24th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after King Danylo Yurii Kavchak was killed on 29 November 2022 while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region.
The Yavoriv district community stresses that the memory of the fallen defenders obliges everyone to preserve faith in victory and to work for a strong and free Ukraine.
