The Novyi Rozdil community has reported the death of servicewoman Kateryna Bozheiko, born on 20 October 1996. She was killed in action during a combat mission near the settlement of Yunakivka in Sumy region.
On 4 December 2024, Kateryna Bozheiko took up arms in defence of Ukraine. Holding the rank of private, she served as a gunner in the 3rd mechanised squad of the 3rd mechanised platoon of the 4th mechanised company of the 2nd mechanised battalion of military unit A5003.
According to the community, on 24 May 2025, while carrying out a combat mission near Yunakivka, Kateryna was killed in battle for Ukraine, its freedom and independence.
Condolences are extended to the family, friends, loved ones and comrades-in-arms of the fallen defender. As the community notes, the bright memory of her will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
