The Novorozdil community received the painful news of the death of Junior Lieutenant Yurii Kotovych.
Our hopes and belief that Yurii Kotovych was alive, unfortunately, did not come true. Yurii Kotovych, born in 1999, died in the war against Russian occupiers. The warrior was long considered missing, and his family, friends, and comrades lived with hope and prayer. Unfortunately, it was established that our Defender died on June 28, 2025, around 02:10 in the vicinity of the settlement of Andriyivka in the Sumy region during a combat mission.
Yurii was a true leader—responsible, decisive, and dedicated to his cause and his comrades. Until his last breath, he bravely defended Ukraine, demonstrating resilience, courage, and loyalty to his military oath.
“Eternal memory and glory to the Hero.” We bow our heads low in sorrow and share the pain of the irreparable loss with Yurii’s family, friends, and comrades. The bright memory of him will forever remain in the hearts of the community.
