It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our compatriot, Police Major Oleksandr Vasylovych Verbenets. He was born on 6 November 1978 and served as an inspector of platoon No.1, company No.4 (unmanned systems) of the special purpose police battalion “KORD” of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv region.
On 26 March 2026, while carrying out a combat mission in Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk district, Donetsk region, Oleksandr was killed, remaining faithful to his oath until the end. The Novyi Rozdil City Council and the entire community express their sincere condolences to his family, friends, comrades, and all who knew Oleksandr.
