Residents of the Velykomostivska community gathered to pay tribute to their Defender — Orest Hibliak, who died defending Ukraine. This was reported on Facebook.
At the entrance to his native village Boianets, he was met by family, friends, comrades, and concerned residents who knelt, holding national flags. They formed a living corridor of honour to escort the warrior to his family home.
A requiem was held there, where all present prayed for the repose of the Defender’s soul, expressed condolences to the family, and shared in their grief. Orest Hibliak gave his life for the peace and tranquillity of Ukraine, for the future of each of us. His heroism will forever remain in the memory of the community.
The Defender is survived by his parents, brother, sister, and nephews. The funeral service will take place tomorrow, 24th March, at 11:00. We urge all community residents to come and pay their final respects to the Hero.
