
Five defenders from the Yavoriv district were posthumously awarded high state honors.
This was reported by the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi. The Order ‘For Courage’ III degree was awarded to Oleksandr Halytskyi, a resident of Mostyska, who died in April 2024 during shelling near the village of Antonivka in the Donetsk region. Vitaliy Horokhov from the town of Shklo was also honored; he died in January 2024 during a combat mission in the Donetsk region.
The Medal ‘Defender of the Motherland’ was awarded to Volodymyr Osidach from the town of Sudova Vyshnia, who died in August 2023 near the village of Novoehorivka in the Luhansk region. The Medal ‘For Military Service to Ukraine’ was awarded to Vasyl Zaits from the village of Vereshchytsia, who died in January 2025 in the area of Andriivka in the Donetsk region.
The honorary badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine ‘Combatant Cross’ was awarded to Bohdan Vozniak from the village of Radenychi, who died in June 2023 during battles in the settlement of Khromove in the Donetsk region.
The awards were presented to the families of the fallen Heroes. Eternal memory to the Defenders of Ukraine. Heartfelt condolences to their families and friends, remarked the head of the region.
