Andriy Sydor: A Hero Who Gave His Life for Ukraine
“Yes, he remained faithful to his comrades and the people of Ukraine until his last breath! He defended our land with honor and dignity from Russian occupiers. Maliuk is one of the giants who shape the modern history of Ukraine! At home, he was a beloved husband, the best and loving father, and son!” said the wife about our fallen defender Andriy Sydor.
Life Path and Service
Andriy was born in the village of Luh, Lviv region. With the onset of the full-scale invasion, he joined the defense of the country within the ranks of the 103rd separate brigade of territorial defense. He commanded a rifle company in the 65th battalion.

He was killed on May 2, 2024, near the village of Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region. He was 33 years old. The warrior was buried in the village of Strilkiv, Lviv region, where he lived with his family.
The Lviv Regional State Administration, in cooperation with the Memory Platform “Memorial of Heroes,” remembers the fallen defenders originally from Lviv region.
