An April day twice shrouded in sorrow, when in the struggle for freedom our compatriots, true patriots, laid down their lives. Volodymyr Lypovetskyi (born 28.07.1996) – in the first year of the full-scale invasion, Stepan Dilnyi (born 09.01.1973) – in 2024.
Heroic deeds of Volodymyr Lypovetskyi
Volodymyr Lypovetskyi from Horodok defended Ukraine in the ranks of the heroic 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo. The soldier died on April 11, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the Luhansk region, near Popasna.
The feat of Stepan Dilnyi
Resident of Dobrany, senior soldier of military unit A4026 Stepan Dilnyi died during the performance of combat (special) tasks in the area of Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region.
For their heroism, both defenders were posthumously awarded the Order of Courage III degree.
