Today our hearts are scorched with pain.
During a night enemy shelling, we lost our colleague — police officer Daryna Shyhida. Along with her, her little son, who was just a year old, and her mother were killed.
Daryna joined the ranks of the police in Kyiv in 2020. Strong, bright, and sincere. She was loyal to her oath, fair, with a profound sense of duty — this is how her colleagues and all who knew her will remember her.
Becoming a police officer was her dream and calling. Her firefighter father taught her from childhood to help people. And her husband, also a patrol police officer, always supported and helped her in service.
This is not just a loss — it is the ripped-out life of three generations…
There are no words that could soothe this pain. Only silence, tears, and rage — for the destroyed lives.
We remember.
