For more than a year, defender from Dobriany Ivan Yuriiovych Lisnyi was considered missing in action. His death has now been officially confirmed: the serviceman is henceforth regarded as having fallen in battle for Ukraine.
Ivan Lisnyi, born in 1979 (30.09.1979), served in the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade. He was killed on 3 July 2025 while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the settlement of Myrnohrad, Pokrovskyi district, Donetsk region.
The community extends its sincere condolences to the family of the fallen soldier – his father, wife, daughter, brother and sister, as well as to his fellow villagers and comrades-in-arms affected by this heavy loss.
Residents of the community thank Ivan Lisnyi for his dedicated service and emphasise that the memory of him, as a defender who fulfilled his military duty to the very end, will forever remain in people's hearts.
