After many long months of waiting, the family and community have received confirmation of the death of Vasyl Kryvulia, a junior sergeant in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a resident of the settlement of Zhvyrka.
Vasyl Kryvulia was born on 6 November 1971 in the village of Derevnya in Zhovkva district, where he spent the first 15 years of his life. He later studied at the Rava Vocational School, where he qualified as a machinery operator and repair locksmith. After completing his studies, he did his compulsory military service and later worked abroad.
In 2014, he moved to live with his wife in the settlement of Zhvyrka. With the start of the full-scale invasion, on 28 February 2022, he voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he served with the rank of junior sergeant.
On 13 February 2024, the serviceman set off to carry out a combat mission in the area of the settlement of Ivanivske in Bakhmut district of Donetsk region. After that, contact with him was lost, and Vasyl was considered missing in action. It has now been officially confirmed that he was killed.
Condolences are extended to his mother Anastasiia, his wife Liudmyla, his children Yurii and Mariia, his stepson Volodymyr, his stepdaughters Kateryna and Iryna, his sister Mariia, his brothers Roman and Andrii with their families, as well as his grandchildren Liliia, Maksym, Mark and Anastasiia.
