Tragic news has reached the Dobrotvir community during the Christmas holidays — the death of Ukrainian defender Roman Veretelnyk, a resident of Silets born in 1990, has been officially confirmed.
Roman had been missing in action since May 2024. His family held on to hope, believing he was alive and would return home. Sadly, that hope was shattered by the grim reality of war — shortly before Christmas, the confirmation of his death arrived. His loss leaves behind deep sorrow and a bright memory of bravery.
The Dobrotvir community expresses its heartfelt condolences to Roman’s loved ones, honoring his courage and sacrifice. The local council and residents pray for the peace of his soul and vow to remember his service.
