44-year-old Lisova mine worker from Volytsia village in Lviv region Volodymyr Yatsyshyn was killed in action on June 15, 2025

Volodymyr Yatsyshyn, an employee of Lvivvuhillia State Enterprise and a miner at the Lisova mine, was killed while defending Ukraine in the fight against the Russian aggressor.

Yatsyshyn served as a border guard inspector with the 11th Border Guard Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and held the rank of senior sergeant.

For a long time, the defender was considered missing. Only recently it became known that on June 15, 2025, Volodymyr died heroically while carrying out a combat mission and protecting his native land.

Condolences over the irreparable loss were expressed by the management of Lvivvuhillia State Enterprise, the Lviv Territorial Organization of the Trade Union of Coal Industry Workers of Ukraine, the Regional Association of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine in Chervonohrad, the workforce and union organizations of the Lisova mine, as well as the entire mining community of the Prybuzhzhia area. They noted they share the family’s grief and bow their heads in prayer for the repose of the fallen soldier’s soul.
