It has become known about the death of Ukrainian defender Vitalii Fediv, born in 1984, a resident of the village of Ostriv. He served with the rank of junior lieutenant and was commander of a mechanised platoon of military unit A4447.
Since February 2025 the serviceman had been considered missing in action, so for almost a year and a half his family and comrades-in-arms had been waiting for news of his return. It has recently been officially confirmed that Vitalii Fediv was killed on 19 February 2025 while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Dachne in Donetsk region.
In deep mourning for the fallen warrior are his parents, sister, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms. They have lost a son, brother and friend who fulfilled his military duty to the very end.
