The death has been reported of defender Vitalii Melnyk, born in 1989, who for a long time was considered missing in action. He served as a reserve soldier in the 58th reserve company of military unit A4674.
For almost two years his family waited for the serviceman to return, as there had been no news of him since August 2024. It has recently been officially confirmed that Vitalii Melnyk was killed on 14 August 2024 while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Mykolaivka in Donetsk region.
