
Police corporal Ivan Klym from Sambir district was killed in action while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
A fighter of the special unit KORD (rifle) of the Lviv region police was serving in one of the most dangerous sectors in Donetsk region. On 19 May, while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Kostiantynivka in Kramatorsk district, he was wounded and had since been considered missing in action.
His death was later officially confirmed. His comrades remember Ivan Klym as a brave and reliable fighter, a true professional who remained faithful to the Police Oath.
Ivan Klym was born on 22 January 2002 in the village of Strilkovychi, Sambir district. He served as a police officer in platoon No. 1 of company No. 2 of the special purpose police battalion KORD (rifle) of the Lviv region police and bore the title of police officer with honour.
The personnel of the National Police of Ukraine, in particular Sambir District Police Department and the Special Purpose Police Battalion KORD (rifle) of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv region, extend their sincere condolences to the family and friends of the fallen officer. He will forever be 24 years old.
