On 29 October 2026, after a long and serious illness, combatant Mykhailo Novosad passed away. He was a native of the village of Mativ, where he was born on 17 November 1971.
Mykhailo Novosad received his primary education at the Mativ school. After finishing it, he continued his studies at the vocational technical college (SPTU) in the town of Belz, where he trained in a manual trade. Later he worked as a tractor driver at TzOV “Mayak”.
From 2014 to 2017, Mykhailo Novosad took an active part in the anti-terrorist operation. In 2017, he was demobilised on health grounds.
The memory of Mykhailo Novosad as a defender of Ukraine, who went through the front and returned to peaceful life, will be cherished by his family, comrades-in-arms and fellow villagers.
