Another heart of a Ukrainian defender has stopped beating.
On January 2, 2026, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Chief Sergeant of the military unit Mykhailo Mykhailovych Denys, born in 1973, a resident of the village of Andriivka, passed away. He served as a Chief Sergeant of the Anti-Aircraft Machine Gun Platoon, Anti-Aircraft Machine Gun Company.
Mykhailo was a combat participant since 2014. He was called to military service on October 12, 2022, and was transferred to the military unit in Kyiv on March 15, 2025. His service included prolonged periods of combat missions in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The serviceman remained faithful to his oath to the very end, honestly fulfilling his duty to Ukraine and its people. He died in the intensive care unit for therapeutic patients of the Cardiology Department of the National Military Medical Clinical Center “Main Military Clinical Hospital”.
