The community mourns the tragic loss of 37-year-old serviceman Stepan Petrovych Vashchuk, who served in military unit A 4576. In 2024, during combat in the Kursk region, the soldier sustained a serious injury that led to the amputation of his arm.
Despite his resilience and courage, on April 13 he died at home as a result of an accident.
A farewell ceremony for the Hero will be held on Monday, April 15. At 10:00 AM, a mourning procession will depart from the central city hospital to the village of Volytsia. At 11:00 AM, a memorial service and funeral will begin. Stepan Vashchuk will be buried at the local cemetery in Volytsia.
