Warrior from Truskavets Andriy Naroyenko Passes Away

With deep sorrow and regret, we inform you that the heart of a true Warrior, a Ukrainian Viking, a fighter of the ‘Azov’ regiment, a native of Truskavets, Andriy Naroyenko, has stopped.

The blessed memory of Naroyenko Andriy Mykolayovych was born in January 1966 in the city of Truskavets. He studied at Secondary School No. 2. After receiving a secondary education, Andriy began studying at a higher military institution and became an officer.

Fate decreed that he served as an officer in Russia, living in Saint Petersburg. When the Russo-Ukrainian War (Anti-Terrorist Operation) began in 2014, Andriy Naroyenko left Russia for patriotic reasons and moved to Ukraine. Here he struggled for a long time to obtain Ukrainian citizenship.

He fought for Ukraine from 2014 to 2024, as part of the ‘Azov’ regiment. Less than a year ago, he was forced to leave military service due to health reasons (oncology). Comrades from Truskavets visited Andriy in the hospital, helped, and believed that his dream of returning to health and military service, to fight against the Putinists, for the freedom of Ukraine and the liberation of the Russian people from Putin’s yoke, would come true. Unfortunately, the disease proved relentless and insurmountable.

Andriy Naroyenko passed away in December 2025. Yesterday, December 16, the Hero’s funeral took place in the city of Odessa. Having Norwegian roots and being a Viking in spirit, Andriy bequeathed that his body be cremated and the ashes scattered over his native Ukrainian Black Sea. Family and comrades fulfilled the last will of the deceased Hero.

The Truskavets community will remember the feat of its hero-son, the Viking Warrior Andriy Naroyenko and his sacrifice for the sake of his native Ukraine. May his memory be eternal, and may his life path inspire future generations and serve as a lesson of patriotism, dedication, faith, and love.

Andriy, you will forever remain in our hearts!
