The Radekhiv community has officially confirmed the death of serviceman Volodymyr Oliinyk, a resident of the village of Pavliv. He served as a rifleman and assistant grenadier in an airborne assault squad, airborne assault platoon, airborne assault company of an airborne assault battalion.
According to the Radekhiv City Council, on 18 July 2025, while carrying out a combat mission related to the defence of Ukraine, soldier Oliinyk Volodymyr Zinoviiovych, born on 22.07.1986, was killed in Sumy region. He remained faithful to the Military Oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people.
Until 28 July 2026, the defender was considered missing in action. After the necessary examinations were carried out, the fact of his death was officially confirmed.
The Radekhiv City Council and residents of the community have extended their sincere condolences to the soldier’s family, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms, and stated that they share the pain of this irreparable loss.
The time and place for the community to receive the cortege with the body of the fallen warrior, as well as for the funeral, will be announced separately. In the community, Volodymyr Oliinyk is remembered as a defender who gave his life for his Homeland.
