The Radekhiv community has officially confirmed the death of serviceman Yurii Panko, who was defending Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia sector. The defender was a resident of the town of Radekhiv.
It was reported that Private Panko Yurii Yosypovych, born on 18.08.1993, died in battle on 08.11.2023 for Ukraine, its freedom and independence in Zaporizhzhia region, bravely fulfilling his military duty.
The serviceman served as a rifleman/crew member of the 3rd air assault section of the 3rd air assault platoon of the 12th air assault company of the 3rd air assault battalion. For some time he was considered missing in action, but after the necessary examinations were carried out, the fact of his death was officially confirmed.
The Radekhiv Town Council, on behalf of the entire community, extended its sincere condolences to the family, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms of the fallen serviceman, noting that they share their pain and bow their heads in mourning.
Further information will be provided on the time and place of the reception of the cortege with the body of the fallen Defender and the holding of the funeral in the community.
