The Radekhiv community has reported the death of serviceman Andrii Medvid. The soldier, a resident of the village of Yastrubychi, was killed on 4 September 2026 in Kharkiv region while carrying out a combat mission related to the defence of Ukraine.
According to available information, Andrii Medvid, born in 1975 (04.07.1975), served as a technician-driver in a border anti-aircraft missile outpost of the third rapid response border commandant’s office of the 1st border detachment. The community notes that he was faithful to the Military Oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people.
On behalf of the entire community, the Radekhiv City Council expressed its sincere condolences to the family, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms of the fallen defender and stressed that it shares the pain of this irreparable loss.
The time and place for meeting the cortege with the body of the fallen soldier, as well as details of the funeral service, will be announced additionally.
