The family of the deceased border guard Viktor Chyzh received a posthumous Hero award – the Order “For Courage” III degree.
This was reported in the Chervonograzh City Council.
The day before, Iryna’s wife and Volodymyr the father of the deceased border guard Viktor Chyzh received the Order of Courage III degree (posthumously), in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine for personal courage and heroism shown in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Victor was wounded while performing combat missions in the area of Bakhmut settlement, was evacuated to a military mobile hospital, but, unfortunately, the injuries were not compatible with life…
The award was presented to the family of the deceased by the head of the Chervonograd District Military Administration, Andriy Dyachenko, together with the deputy chief of the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment Pyotr Zhovnych and the deputy chief of the “Nismichi” border service department, Major Igor Zhmida.
