Family of fallen soldier Mykola Kainskyi from Stryi district presented with the “Golden Cross” distinction

The family of fallen defender from Stryi district Mykola Kainskyi has received the honorary breast badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the “Golden Cross”. The soldier was honoured for his courage and selflessness shown in the line of duty.

It is noted that the award was conferred on Mykola Kainskyi on 9 March 2026. The serviceman did not live to receive the distinction in person, so it was presented to his family.

Mykola Kainskyi was a resident of the settlement of Zhuravno. He served as senior driver of the 1st anti-aircraft missile section of the 2nd anti-aircraft missile platoon of the anti-aircraft missile battery of the anti-aircraft missile battalion of military unit A7028.

The defender was killed on 30 March near the settlement of Kostyantynivka in the Kramatorsk district of Donetsk region. At the time of his death, he was 53 years old.
