It is the anniversary of the death of Ukraine's defender Oleh Vilshynskyi, a native of the village of Lavochne. The fighter with the call sign “Marik” was killed on 21 June 2025 during an artillery strike near the settlement of Malynivka in Donetsk region.
Oleh Vilshynskyi was born on 21 July 1993 in Lavochne. After he went missing, for six months his family, friends and the community lived in hope and prayed for his return home.
In the end it became known that the serviceman had been killed and had returned home “on his shield”. In the memory of his loved ones and fellow villagers he will forever remain a 32-year-old Hero, remembered in their thoughts, hearts and prayers.
