
The Velykomostivska community is currently remembering Roman Burko, who died fighting for Ukraine, as it has already been three years since this hero passed away. It is a painful time, filled with gratitude for his bravery. This was reported on Facebook.
Roman Burko was born on 15 August 1991 in the village of Stremen. After studying at the Reklynets School, he obtained his qualifications at the Dobrotvir Lyceum. In 2011, he was called up for compulsory military service, and from 2022, he became part of the 24th Separate Mechanised Brigade.
During shelling near Orikhovo-Vasylivka in the Donetsk region on 15 March 2023, Roman was mortally wounded by shrapnel. His courage was recognised with the ‘Hero’s Cross’ award and the title ‘Hero of the Velykomostivska Community’.
Today, we honour his memory; his life is an example of devotion to Ukraine. Eternal memory to the Hero.
