Roman Ketsun from Drohobych Killed in Action for Ukraine

The Drohobych community received the sad news of the death of Roman Ketsun, a resident of the village of Voroblevychi. He was born on 12 November 1998 and after finishing school, he studied in Kharkiv to become a medical assistant. With the onset of the full-scale war, Roman voluntarily took up arms to defend Ukraine, serving as a combat medic in a mechanised battalion of unit A4447.

Unfortunately, during a combat mission near the settlement of Robotyne on the Zaporizhzhia front, contact with him was lost on 27 October 2023, and he was considered missing in action. After extensive DNA tests, the soldier’s death was officially confirmed, and the Hero’s body will be returned home for farewell and burial.

Roman is survived by two sisters, a brother, and relatives. The Drohobych City Council, its executive committee, Mayor Taras Kuchma, and Council Secretary Orest Karakevych express their sincere condolences to the family and loved ones. Information regarding the arrival of the cortege and the funeral arrangements will be provided additionally. Eternal memory to the Hero of Ukraine!
