Roman Maksymiv from Truskavets Killed in Battle Near Lozova

A tragic message has once again reached Truskavets — a resident of the city, Roman Maksymiv, was killed by an enemy bullet. He was born on 16 March 1976 and lived in Truskavets. He was called up for military service by the Stryi RTC, signing a contract on 10 March 2025.

Maksymiv served in military unit A0989 as a driver in the logistics platoon of a self-propelled artillery battalion. The hero was killed last Saturday, 28 March, near the settlement of Lozova in the Kharkiv region, having sustained a gunshot wound to the chest.

Death struck the warrior while he was on combat duty. “You were a person of an extraordinarily kind and brave heart. Rest in peace!” write those who knew Roman personally.
