Russian Airstrike on Yarova: Casualties and Evacuation

The Russian airstrike on Yarova led to numerous civilian casualties.

Russians dropped a guided aerial bomb on the town center when a queue of civilians had formed near a mobile post office to receive payments. **The enemy targeted local residents**, particularly the elderly. As of now, 23 deaths and 18 injuries have been reported.

From the first moments, police and rescuers have been working on site. Despite the threat of a repeat strike, emergency workers extinguished the fire, police investigators documented the aftermath, and the bodies of the deceased were delivered for examination. The identification process is beginning with the use of a mobile DNA laboratory, ANDE. A police headquarters is operational for inquiries from relatives.

Law enforcement officers and rescuers are assisting in transporting the wounded from mobile stabilization points to hospitals. After the strike, police received requests for the evacuation of Yarova residents. “The White Angels” have already evacuated 8 people, including a 7-year-old girl. Overall, 22 people have been evacuated from this area today.

We thank everyone who is now with the civilians. Where there is terror and grief, you are protection and support.
