Among the defenders who returned from Russian captivity today are seven residents of Lviv region

“According to preliminary information, seven residents of Lviv region are among the defenders released from captivity today. Details will follow later,” said Maksym Kozytskyi.

Among those returning home from captivity today is a Lviv resident, Mr Zenoviy.

Our countryman was held captive for 15 months.

He was captured with a serious injury. He was not provided with proper care. As a result, I lost my arm.

Mr Zenoviy, I bow to you for everything you have done for our country. I wish you health and warmth from your family. Let all Ukrainian families wait for you,” said the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.

Today, another exchange of prisoners of war took place, which was agreed upon during the negotiations in Istanbul.

According to Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of the Lviv Military District Military Administration, Ukraine has returned some prisoners from the category of “seriously wounded and seriously ill”.

In particular, these are representatives of the Navy, Land Forces, the Airborne Forces, the Unmanned Systems Forces, as well as the Border Guard and the National Guard.

Among those released are once again the defenders of Mariupol, who had been held captive since 2022.
