Serhii Bandrivskyi, a native of the Drohobych community, was killed while defending Ukraine from the Russian aggressor.
He studied and lived in Drohobych, receiving his education at Drohobych Secondary School No. 5. With the onset of the full-scale war, he stepped forward to defend the country and served as a serviceman in the 150th Separate Mechanised Brigade.
Since August 2024, Serhii Bandrivskyi had been considered missing in action during a combat mission in the Toretsk area. The long months of searching and waiting became a severe trial for his family and loved ones.
Now the warrior returns home upon his shield. His family, friends and comrades-in-arms are left to mourn his loss. Drohobych City Council has expressed its condolences to the family, relatives, loved ones and friends of the fallen defender.
The funeral of Serhii Bandrivskyi will take place on 3 June in the city of Rivne at the Nove Cemetery.
