
The Sheptytska community today received three tragic reports at once about the deaths of Ukrainian warriors. For the community, this is a dark day filled with pain, grief, and the awareness of an irreparable loss.
Defender Ruslan Skebskyi has died
On June 3, the heart of Skebskyi Ruslan Volodymyrovych stopped beating. From the beginning of the full-scale invasion until October 2023, he defended Ukraine as part of the 63rd Separate Territorial Defense Battalion.

Later, Ruslan Volodymyrovych was discharged from military service for health reasons. However, the wounds sustained during the war continued to take their toll.
The farewell to the defender will take place according to the following schedule:
- on June 4 at 19:00, a memorial service will be held at the Church of the Most Holy Theotokos, Sovereign Lady of Ukraine;
- on June 5 at 11:00, the funeral rite will begin at the Church of Archangel Michael in the village of Ostriv;
- a bus for those wishing to pay tribute to the warrior will depart for Ostriv at 10:30 from the mourning room of the Church of the Most Holy Theotokos, Sovereign Lady of Ukraine, in Sheptytskyi;
- Ruslan Skebskyi will be buried at the cemetery in the village of Ostriv.
Ruslan Pazyniak has passed away

Another heavy loss for the community was the death of Pazyniak Ruslan Dmytrovych, born in 1982.
Ruslan Pazyniak was a soldier, a driver in the motor transport section of the ammunition supply platoon of the ammunition support company of military unit A4977. He died on May 31 at Zaporizhzhia Regional Clinical Hospital.
The community bows its heads in grief and extends sincere condolences to the warrior’s family and loved ones.
50-year-old Roman Shulhan has died
The 50-year-old defender Shulhan Roman Ivanovych has also joined the Heavenly Legion.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Roman Ivanovych joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in military unit A1126 until July 2024. Due to a severe wound, the warrior was discharged from service for health reasons.
On June 2, Roman Shulhan’s heart stopped beating at home.
The Sheptytska community expresses its deepest condolences to the families, loved ones, and comrades-in-arms of the fallen defenders. Their feat will forever remain in the community’s memory as a reminder of the high price of Ukraine’s independence, freedom, and future.
