The Sheptytska community is once again in mourning — for the third time this week, tragic news has arrived from the front. A resident of the community, soldier Ihor Pechenyuk, born in 1974, has been killed.
Soldier Ihor Romanovych Pechenyuk served as a mechanic in a platoon of strike unmanned aerial vehicles in the motorised infantry battalion of military unit A0998. His life was cut short on 7 January near the village of Podilsk, Donetsk Oblast, where he died while performing a combat mission.
The Sheptytsky City Council, community, and all concerned express their sincere condolences to the family and friends of the fallen hero. In these days of mourning, the community shares the pain of this irreparable loss.
