The day before, on 25 July, before the start of the session of the Sokal City Council, state awards were presented to the families of the fallen defenders of the Sokal community.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine, the Orders “For Courage” of the III degree (posthumously) were awarded to
🕯️Андрія Pashkur – a resident of the village of Zhvyrka, Sokal community, a serviceman of the air assault company of the military unit A2582. He died on 19 November 2024 in the Kursk region of Russia.
🕯️Ігоря Ilnytskyi was a soldier of the 81st separate airmobile Slobozhanska brigade. He died on 7 October 2024 while performing a combat mission in the Luhansk region. He was 41 years old.
🕯️Романа Pankevych, a resident of the city of Sokal, a grenade launcher of the military unit A7271. He died on 19 April 2024 near Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region.
🕯️Романа Pavlyk was a native of the village of Huta, Sokal community, a serviceman of the military unit A0284. He died on 28 August 2024 during a combat mission near the village of Cherkaske Porichne, Kursk region.
🕯️Сергія Yatsenko is a native of Zaporizhzhia region, a member of the 24th separate assault battalion “Aidar” since 2019. From 2022, he defended positions in the Donetsk sector, including Bakhmut and Chasiv Yar. He died in hospital from a serious injury.
🕯️Мар’yan Khymych, a rifleman of the military unit A7401. He died as a result of a mortar attack near the village of Starytsia, Chuhuiv district, Kharkiv region.
