Honoring the Heroes of Drohobych District: Awarding the Order of Courage

Seven defenders from the Drohobych district were awarded the Order of Courage III Class. Unfortunately, posthumously. According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine, the fallen soldiers were recognized on the eve of the National Day of Prayer.

List of Honored Heroes

  • Volodymyr Vasyliki
    Defended Ukraine from September 6, 2023, as part of the 214th Separate Assault Battalion OPFOR. Died on December 23, 2023, on the Bakhmut direction.
  • Vitaliy Hlavatskykh
    Joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in November 2022. Served as a gunner in military unit A4026. Died on April 8, 2024, near the settlement of Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region.
  • Bohdan Koval
    Voluntarily defended Ukraine from the first days of the full-scale invasion as part of the 103rd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade named after Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky. Received severe injuries in the Kharkiv region. Died on February 11, 2024, in a Kyiv hospital.
  • Andriy Lavriv
    Joined the 103rd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade named after Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky from the first days of the full-scale war. Suffered a severe injury in April 2023. Unfortunately, during rehabilitation in November 2023 in Germany, the defender’s heart stopped.
  • Anatoliy Skorobohach
    Voluntarily defended the Homeland. Died on January 5, 2023, near the city of Soledar in Donetsk Oblast.
  • Ruslan Stadnyk
    Served in military unit A7079. Died on January 26, 2024, near the village of Tabaivka in the Kharkiv region.
  • Mykhailo Patyn
    Had been a participant in the ATO/JFO since 2015. Defended the country during the full-scale invasion. Died near the village of Tabaivka in the Kharkiv region.
