Today, the Hero Yuriy Kapleta, a defender, patriot, and volunteer, returned to his native Sokal region forever. The city’s community met the funeral cortege in large numbers.

Tomorrow at 14.00 in the Church of Sts. Peter and Paul, the funeral service will begin.
We ask everyone to postpone their personal affairs and come to see Yuriy Kapleta off with dignity on his last journey. He gave his young life for each of us, so it is our sacred duty to say goodbye to the Hero.

Yuriy Kapleta was a defender, public figure, volunteer, and patriot of Ukraine. He was born on December 3, 1986 in the city of Sokal. He studied at Sokal secondary school № 5. From the first days of the Revolution of Dignity, he fought for the European future on the Independence Square in Kyiv. He participated in the creation of the 10th Hundred of the Maidan Self-Defense. He held the position of a tensman, was responsible for the protection of the 1st and 2nd floors of the Trade Union Building. He took an active part in the events that took place on the Maidan.
