
Today, Defender of Ukraine — Ihor Mankovsky, a resident of the village of Sulymiv, returns to his native land.
Ihor Mankovsky, born in 1989, was considered missing since November 13, 2024, during military service duties near the settlement of Vozdvyzhenka, Donetsk region. Unfortunately, on July 17, 2025, his body was identified through forensic examination. It was established that Ihor died on November 13, 2024, due to burns incompatible with life. “Gave his life protecting Ukraine from the enemy.”
He was a true patriot, a courageous warrior, and a kind person. His earthly journey does not end here, but in the place where he was born and where his childhood passed—there he will be buried among familiar landscapes. In the village of Borynychi, Stryi district, the cortege with the fallen Hero will be met around 1:00 PM-2:00 PM. The burial ceremony will take place on Thursday, July 24, 2025.
