Today, Lviv will say goodbye to soldiers Andriy Kurylo, Bohdan Hrynyshyn, Dmytro Dolbnev

 

On Monday, 1 July, Lviv will say goodbye to three soldiers. Andrii Kurylo, Bohdan Hrynyshyn, and Dmytro Dolbnev defended Ukraine from Russian invaders. Lviv City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and refrain from holding entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral service for the defenders will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Ss. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will be held on Rynok Square.

Andriy Kurylo and Bohdan Hrynyshyn will be buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery, and Dmytro Dolbnev will be buried at the Holoskiv Cemetery.

He studied at Vasyl Stefanyk Secondary School No. 22 in Lviv. First, he received his vocational education at Higher Vocational School No. 20 in Lviv, and then entered Lviv Polytechnic National University.

For over 18 years, he worked as a printer at Lata Private Enterprise in Davidiv. In his spare time, he was fond of fishing, technology and cars.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he defended the state from the Russian occupants. He performed tasks in the eastern direction as part of the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Andrii Kurylo is survived by his parents, wife, two children and a brother.

He studied at the secondary school No. 92 in Lviv. After completing his studies at school, he received a vocational education as a carpenter.

He did his military service in the ranks of the Air Defence Forces in Kharkiv. After completing his service, he was a sailor in the Spanish Navy for a period of time. After returning to Ukraine, he worked in the construction industry.

At the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He performed combat missions to defend the sovereignty and independence of the state in Donetsk region. Despite being seriously wounded near Bakhmut, he returned to the front to join his comrades.

Bohdan Hrynyshyn is survived by his parents, sister, nephews, aunt, uncle and cousins.

He studied at a local secondary school. He graduated from Lviv Polytechnic National University.

After graduation, he was engaged in repair work in Lviv. According to his family, he was an exceptionally “bright and kind person”.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he stood up to defend the state from Russian invaders. He defended the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine in the southern direction in the ranks of the 33rd separate mechanised brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was highly respected among his comrades-in-arms.

Dmitriy Dolbnev is survived by his sister.
