Today Lviv Oblast said goodbye to three defenders

Every day at 9:00 a.m., we observe a moment of silence in memory of all the dead who gave their lives for Ukraine due to Russian aggression.

Today, Lviv Oblast says goodbye to defenders:

Orest Rys

A native of Lviv. Performed combat tasks in the anti-terrorist operation zone as part of the “Karpatska Sich” battalion. Later, he signed a contract with the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky of the Operational Command “North” of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Subsequently, he defended the state in the ranks of the 30th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Konstantin Ostrozky. The defender died on December 27, 2023. He was 28 years old. The soldier is survived by his wife, parents, sister and brother.

Mykola Aleksyk

A native of the village of Velyki Komyat, Transcarpathian region. Lived in Lviv, and later in Kyiv. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, he became a volunteer for the defense of the Motherland. Performed combat missions in the southern and eastern directions as part of the 12th special purpose brigade “Azov” of the National Guard of Ukraine. The soldier died on December 16, 2023. He was 29 years old. The defender is survived by his mother and grandmother.

Taras Romanov

A resident of the Chervonohrad community. Joined the defenders during a full-scale invasion. Completed military service in military unit A4124. Died on December 24, 2023. The soldier was 34 years old.
