Today Lviv region says goodbye to nine defenders
🕯️ Taras Kovalyshyn
Lived in Drohobych.
From the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he voluntarily came to the defense of Ukraine. He performed combat missions to defend Ukraine as part of the 110th Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces, and later – the 103rd Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces. He was the commander of the rifle division of the military unit A7371.
The warrior died on July 29, 2024 near the village of Katerynivka, Sumy region.
🕯️ Volodymyr Kravets
A resident of the city of Kamianka-Buzka. In 2023, the soldier came to the defense of Ukraine, was the commander of the vehicle commander’s unit of the motorized infantry battalion of the military unit A4965. He died on July 28, 2024 near the village of Holubinka, Dnipro region, at the age of 40.
🕯️ Ivan Shkoropad
A native of Pyriatyn village, Dobrosynsko-Magerivska community, Lviv district.
From the beginning of the war, the soldier volunteered for the front, and during the last months of his service he was defending the Kharkiv region.
He was killed on July 31, 2024, while performing a combat mission in the Kharkiv sector at the age of 27.
🕯️ Roman Sotnyk (“Commissioner”)
A resident of the village of Solonka, Lviv district. Roman came to the defense of our country in June 2022. He took part in combat operations in the Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Kharkiv directions in the ranks of the airborne assault troops. He died on July 31, 2024, while performing a combat mission near the village of Orkhimivka, Kharkiv region. The warrior was 46 years old.
🕯️ Oleksandr Olkhovych
A native of Varash (formerly Kuznetsovsk), Rivne region.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he defended the state from the invaders. He performed combat missions in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk areas as part of the 33rd separate mechanized brigade.
🕯️ Serhiy Maiko
A resident of Lviv.
During 2014-2016, he performed tasks in the anti-terrorist operation zone in the ranks of the border guards. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he returned to the State Border Guard Service.
While performing combat missions in the Serebryansky Forest, he was seriously injured and underwent long-term treatment.
🕯️ Volodymyr Kalyupin
A native of the city of Borshchiv, Ternopil region.
Participant of the Revolution of Dignity. After graduating from the military department, he immediately joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He performed combat missions in the anti-terrorist operation zone, first as a member of the 51st separate mechanized brigade, and later – of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, he returned to the front as a volunteer and fought against the occupiers in the Zaporizhzhya direction as part of the 65th separate mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
🕯️ Yuriy Rybachuk
Born in the village of Zabuzhzhia, Chervonohrad district. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He died on June 3, 2024 near the village of Spirne, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region.
🕯️ Zinoviy Matsko
A resident of the village of Kulykiv.
The warrior defended Ukraine from the enemy in the Kharkiv direction.
He died on August 1, 2024 near the village of Odradne at the age of 50.
